The Men of the Breakfast (that benefits the Women's Philanthropy Fund) of the Orange County United Way recently hosted its second Garages of Orange County event at the Segerstrom Shelby Events Center. The idea for Garages of Orange County was originated by Sue Parks - CEO of Orange County United Way.
Along with my M.O.B. co-chairman Don Yahn, we wanted to host the events at the most incredible collections in the county...
The first being the Garages of Orange County event at the immaculate estate of Bill Lyon, in Coto de Caza, where he gave a tour of his multi million-dollar, rare collection of Duesenberg's among other prized automobiles.
This time around, the group had first hand access to the Segerstrom Shelby Collection - one of the most prized collections if not the #1 in the world - with several 1 of 1's and a combined value in the tens of millions. Attendees heard from a representative of the collection, who provided first hand insights into this one of a kind trophy museum.
