KCOMM - The Best Stories Never Told - IMPACT 23
*|FNAME|*,

Saying goodbye can be a bittersweet experience, especially when it's to someone who's about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime that's both thrilling and challenging. That's exactly how I felt as I bid farewell today to Hall Roosevelt, Co-President of KCOMM and genuinely one of the best people in my life.

Earlier this month, Hall was a special guest on my IMPACT TV Show Series, produced in part by the Internet Marketing Association (IMA). During our interview, Hall shared his plans to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The PCT is a 2,650-mile-long trek that stretches from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington. All in all - it will take him roughly 6 months to complete.

The interview took place in one of my favorite locations, the beautiful Back Bay in Newport Beach. It was the ideal setting for our conversation, and I couldn't help but feel a little envious of Hall's upcoming journey.

At the same time, however, my mixed emotions began to surface as Hall talked about the daunting challenges he was about to face on the PCT. He knew he would be hiking for months, sleeping in a tiny, lightweight tent, and carrying all his gear and food on his back. He would be exposed to the elements and the wilderness, with no cell service and limited contact with the outside world. It was clear that this adventure was not for the faint of heart.

As Hall spoke, I could see the excitement and determination in his eyes, and it was contagious. But at the same time, it is hard not to worry about his safety and well-being, especially since he would be facing all kinds of risks, from wildlife encounters to treacherous terrain and crossing turbulent rivers (this year saw record rainfall).
Hall has spent months preparing for the PCT, researching the trail, studying maps, and gathering the necessary gear. He is in excellent physical and mental shape and ready for the challenges ahead.

As we wrapped up our interview, I gave Hall one last hand shake and hug, knowing it would be months till we reconnect. I wished him luck on his journey and reassured him that our network of thousands of members, clients and associates are in full support of his decision and journey. Also, his awesome wife Danica is a rock star for supporting him in every aspect of this.

For the next 6 months as Hall takes on the PCT, he'll be documenting still photos and video. At the end of the journey we'll be doing one more interview to wrap up a full, feature documentary being produced by our talented filmmaker, Nepal Arslan, and will debut at IMPACT 23, this October in Newport Beach.

As much as Hall has learned from the journey at KCOMM, I have learned from him. We look forward to welcoming him back in the Fall and until then, we wish him all the best!
